Meet the Farm Team
-
Finbarr Kiernan
Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVSFinbarr is a dedicated large animal vet with over 30 years of experience. He started our practice in 2001, and has seen it go from strength to strength over the years, thanks to our commitment to providing high standards of veterinary care to pets, farm animals and clients across Cavan and the surrounding area.
-
Ryan McCabe
Practice Manager
Before joining our team, Ryan spent many years working as a youth support worker and in customer service and retail roles. A self-described geek, much of his spare time is spent with his head stuck in a good book or going for outdoor adventures with his family.
-
Joshua Clarke
Veterinary Surgeon
DVMJoshua is from the port town of Grimsby in England, and completed his degree in veterinary medicine in Bulgaria in 2021. He has always loved animals, and enjoys spending his free time travelling around Ireland with his partner and their dog, Sam, and practising falconry.
-
Shane Seery
Veterinary Surgeon
DVMShane is a mixed animal vet, working across our small and large animal teams. He joined our practice in 2024 after graduating from university in Poland. Growing up on a dairy farm inspired his passion for large animal health care.
-
Sadhbh Fitzpatrick
Veterinary Surgeon
MVBSadhbh recently answered the call to the veterinary vocation, graduating from UCD in 2024. Sadhbh, a Monaghan native, grew up on her family’s dairy farm where her love for animals and devotion to their care began.
-
Liam O’Brien
Veterinary Surgeon
MVBOriginally from Waterford, Liam joined our team shortly after qualifying from University College Dublin in 2023. His love of animals began when he spent time working as a farmhand, and he looks forward to weekend trips home to see his family’s beloved dog, Boo. He also enjoys playing football for Drumlane and hurling.
-
Fiona Dinneny
Receptionist
Fiona’s longrunning enthusiasm and passion for animal care stems from formative years spent on her family’s farm. She has been serving the local farming community for over 20 years, many of which have been spent at our practice, where she is always eager to greet and help our clients.
-
Josephine Duggan
Receptionist
With over 35 years in the veterinary profession, Josephine is a great support to our large animal team, making sure that everything runs smoothly. She is hugely passionate about animal welfare, and has a great fondness for the Gaelic Athletic Association, following the progress of many teams across Cavan.
-
Tiffany Smith
Receptionist
Tiffany grew up on her family’s farm, which inspired her to develop a career within the farm side of the veterinary world. As a keen sheep farmer herself, our clients love to chat to her about all things sheep-related. In her spare time, she can often be found in a pair of wellies with her family, surrounded by cattle, sheep or machinery.
-
Amy Kerrigan
Receptionist
Amy comes from a farming background and has a great deal of experience working in retail, so working with our large animal team allows her to make the most of her customer service skills and passion for animals. Outside of work, she is a keen athlete and plays football for her local club, Castlerahen, as well as camogie for the Denn club.
-
Emma Murdy
Receptionist
Having grown up on a sheep and dry stock farm, Emma has always had a keen interest in working with animals and dairy farming. She loves getting to assist our farm clients, and spends much of her spare time caring for her family’s own livestock, often accompanied by her dog, Maddie.
