Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
MVB MRCVSFinbarr is a dedicated large animal vet with over 30 years of experience. He started our practice in 2001, and has seen it go from strength to strength over the years, thanks to our commitment to providing high standards of veterinary care to pets, farm animals and clients across Cavan and the surrounding area.

Emma Collum
Practice Manager
Before joining our team as a customer service representative in 2022, Emma worked as a rehoming coordinator for the Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Much of her spare time is spent running a dog boarding kennel business with her husband.

Rachael Brady
Head Veterinary Nurse
RVNA Cavan native, Rachael grew up on a farm and joined our team in 2017. She is an avid Lacken GFC supporter and feels that her dog, Claude, is the most important member of her family, as he rules the household!

Nicole Garraghan
Receptionist
Nicole got her first taste of veterinary when traveling in Canada where she got the opportunity to work in a veterinary clinic. From then on Nicole decided this is what she wanted to do and joined our team shortly after returning home to Ireland. Nicole enjoys hiking in her spare time and after a day of climbing hills and mountains she loves to curl up with her four legged fur-baby Lexi.

Veterinary Surgeon
MVBEls graduated from University College Dublin 1996, and joined our small animal team four years later. She has three children, a cat called Harvey, a rescue dog called Otis and several hens.

Liam O’Brien
Veterinary Surgeon
MVBOriginally from Waterford, Liam joined our team shortly after qualifying from University College Dublin in 2023. His love of animals began when he spent time working as a farmhand, and he looks forward to weekend trips home to see his beloved family dog, Boo. He also enjoys playing football for Drumlane and hurling.

Joshua Clarke
Veterinary Surgeon
DVMJoshua is from the port town of Grimsby in England, and completed his degree in veterinary medicine in Bulgaria in 2021. He has always loved animals, and enjoys spending his free time travelling around Ireland with his partner and their dog, Sam, and practising falconry.

Shane Seery
Veterinary Surgeon
DVMShane is a mixed animal vet, working across our small and large animal teams. He joined the Cavan team in 2024 after graduating from university in Poland. Growing up on a dairy farm inspired his passion for large animal health care.

Desre Daly
Veterinary Surgeon
MVBDesre was born in South Africa and grew up in Ireland. She has always been interested in animal care, having witnessed her first dog surgery at the age of five. After graduating in 2012, she worked in a variety of clinics and rehoming shelters, before joining our team in 2023. Her home life is never boring, as she has two children, three dogs and two cats.

Holly O’Reilly
Veterinary Nurse
RVNHolly studied at the Dundalk Institute of Technology and joined our practice in 2022, having completed her student placement with us. She has always loved animals, and has a dog called Hunter, several cats and a chinchilla called Theo at home.

Áine Furlong
Veterinary Nurse
RVNÁine is originally from Laois and graduated from University College Dublin in 2015. She joined us in 2021 after relocating to the area, and has a dog called Thor, a cat called Tilly, two donkeys called Donald and Dolly and three hens.

Sophie Garry
Veterinary Nurse
RVNSophie graduated from AIT in 2016, and gained experience at a few mixed practices before joining our team in 2020. When she’s not working, she enjoys playing GAA and helping out on her family farm.

Eimear McGrath
Veterinary Nurse
RVNEimear is a Laois native who graduated from her veterinary nursing studies in Athlone and finally made her way to Cavan to join our team. Eimear has been caring for animals long before her career as a veterinary nurse as she grew up helping out on her family farm. In her spare time Eimear is often found walking her two lovely dogs, Jett and Alfie.

MVBGary is a Longford native who qualified from UCD in 2024. Gary pursued a career in veterinary as he has always had a love for animals. He has two dogs called PJ & Oscar. Gary has a keen interest in travelling and seeing the world.

Sadhbh Fitzpatrick
Veterinary Surgeon
MVBSadhbh recently answered the call to the veterinary vocation, graduating from UCD in 2024. Sadhbh, a Monaghan native, grew up on her family’s dairy farm where her love for animals and devotion to their care began.
